We are currently accepting applications for undergraduate research assistants
Last updated: April 19, 2024
Here at the PADRES Lab we anticipate that undergraduates and volunteers will be filling numerous roles on our team. New research assistants will start off with tasks such as interview transcription and data entry. Attention to detail is an important aspect of our lab culture. Once research assistants have demonstrated their consistency with this value, they often have the opportunity to branch out into other roles, such as coding of qualitative interview data. If you join our lab we would expect that you would commit to enrollment in CNCSP199RA (junior/senior status), CNCSP 99RA (freshman/sophomore status), or volunteer work for at least 3 consecutive quarters in order to maximize the reciprocal benefits of participation. You will be expected to work a minimum of 2 hours per week, in addition to attending a one-hour weekly lab meeting. During these meetings we will discuss current lab projects, new research in the field, and professional development, such as career options in psychology and applying to graduate school. In addition, these meetings are a place where you will receive weekly instructions about lab tasks.
Please note, we are currently seeking Spanish-speaking research assistants. Please be sure to indicate your fluency in your application.
